Dear Friends,
In the last six months we have been involved in a whirlwind of activities bringing long standing dear friends and new, very special friends together in the belief that District 7 deserves broad and inclusive representation in the Maryland General Assembly. This common belief provided the adrenalin that drove our campaign. I was blessed with the support of highly skilled and motivated individuals who provided on the ground support and guidance.
I want to thank all of you for your interest in my campaign and willingness to join so many others from across the district and the state to challenge the incumbent. The ways you helped to put together our campaign are at once numerous and immeasurable.
It wasn't long before our campaign was filled with the voices of voters excited about the issues our campaign championed and the tangible possibility for change.
Our campaign achieved the goals of highlighting the issues that matter to the citizens of the Seventh, and offering them a choice. I firmly believe, as I did from the very beginning, that our campaign needed to be waged regardless of the outcome.
If I could ask for only one more thing, it would be for all of us to remain vocal and active in support of the issues that will move District 7 and Maryland forward in the years to come. In light of election results across the state and particularly at the top, we have an excellent opportunity to maintain our momentum, our vision, our drive.
I look forward to continuing our advocacy on behalf of the children and families of Maryland . To that end, I am truly honored to have been appointed to Governor-elect Martin O'Malley's Transition Team.
With great fondness, Pat
